Amy Goodman host of the progressive news show Democracy Now and author of two books blasting government liars, their corporate cronies, and the compliant mainstream media. Amy is in Atlanta on tour to promote her newest book, released April 9: Standing up to the Madness: Ordinary Heroes in Extraordinary Times. Democracy Now airs on more than 650 radio and TV stations throughout the country, and on the internet. In Atlanta catch Amy's show on WRFG at 89.3 FM, every weekday at 5 pm.

Nan Orrock representative of in town neighborhoods in the Georgia State Assembly since 1987 is a founder of both the Georgia Legislative Women's Caucus and the Working Families Agenda caucus. Nan is currently in the Georgia Senate and President of WiLL (Women Legislators Lobby), a national network of progressive women state legislators who stand against excessive military spending and work to redirect those federal dollars to the greatly underfunded human services and environmental protection needs.

Neill Herring the contract legislative lobbyist for the Georgia chapter of the Sierra Club,   Riverkeeper and several other organizations concerned about the environment, transit issues and natural resources. In the 1970's he participated in the pioneering Georgia Power Project, opposing licensing of a nuclear plant on the Savannah River and coal plants in middle Georgia. He has two brilliant daughters.

Ann Mauney is an organizer with the Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition/Atlanta since its founding in 2002 as the local network mobilizing opposition to the Iraq War and Occupation. During the 1980s and 1990s, as a public school history teacher and union activist, she organized classroom teachers around the issue of collective bargaining rights for Georgia educators, rights they have not yet won.
